Advancing Science In Chiropractic
Provides a forum where the world’s leading musculoskeletal researchers can present to CMCC students to foster their development as evidence based practitioners
A.R.T. Club (Active Release Techniques)
Provides seminars and group sessions to improve students’ A.R.T. touch techniques, learn common symptom patterns and practice the protocols.
Beyond Boundaries
Fosters social responsibility through greater understanding of the interconnectedness of human societies. Group discussions on global issues, film nights, and Global Lounge charity even night of cultural celebration. In an effort to “Think Globally, Act Locally” this year will initiate community based projects, self development workshops and fundraising to build a fresh water well for an impoverished overseas community.
Chiropractic Business Club
Aims to expose students to the business of running a chiropractic practice, with guest speakers once a month, e.g. practice appraisals, internal and external marketing, types of chiropractic practices, and networking.
Chiro Enviro Club
Promotes environmental awareness around campus and in the community, exchanging ideas to improve waste reduction, energy efficiency and other eco-issues that affect the learning and working environment at CMCC.
Chiropractic Research Rounds
Balances evidence based medicine with clinical practice through presentations by students and guest lecturers on recent and relevant literature. Students, interns and practitioners can remain current on recent research topics in health care.
Christian Chiropractic Fellowship (CCF)
A faith based community within CMCC that aims to glorify God and uplift each other in fellowship. Past activities include an outreach program feeding families of Regent Park, sponsoring a child, Bible studies and speakers.
Friends in Chiropractic Club
Invites all critical thinking individuals to hear practicing chiropractors speak on the principles, philosophy and practice of chiropractic. Topics have included practice styles, philosophies, techniques and practice management.
The Geriatric Connection
Promotes the importance of patient focused care for the elderly, and educates students on professional interaction with seniors through interactive seminars, volunteer work at seniors’ residences and external conferences. Outreach to seniors raises awareness of chiropractic services that may help improve their quality of life.
Gonstead Club
Furthers the understanding of the art, science and philosophy of chiropractic and its application by introducing the Gonstead technique system to students. This involves a meticulous analysis of the patient to determine the necessary corrective measures to take.
IPE Council
After breaking ground with several initiatives to promote interprofessional collaboration, CMMC student club, Building Bridges and SCCA’s Interprofessional Club (IPC) have merged to form the IPE Council. With more direct faculty involvement, the input of both SCCA and Students’ Council, IPE Council in in an ideal position to sustain the momentum created over the past year with new programs such as professional courtesy treatments and student exchanges.
Motion Palpation Institute Club
Promotes the learning and practical application of motion palpation, a diagnostic technique used by chiropractors to locate joint dysfunction within the spinal column and extremities. We help students improve motion palpation techniques as well as efficiency in manual adjusting techniques.
Paediatrics Club
Aims to educate and inspire CMCC students about the importance of chiropractic care for the paediatric population. Members learn the art and science of paediatric chiropractic, including its benefits, some orthopaedic assessments and techniques, and the available research.
Soft Tissue Club
Offers hands-on exposure and discussion on soft tissue management techniques including Trigenics, massage therapy, augmented soft tissue mobilization, and stretching techniques. Students can gain experience in these techniques with CMCC clinicians, practitioners in the field and other students who have certifications or course hours in soft tissue management systems.
South Asian Chiropractic Student Association (SACSA)
A professional student organization designed to educate and promote the chiropractic profession to the rapidly growing South Asian community. Through information seminars, participating in community events, and partnering with South Asian organizations. SACSA aims to improve the health care experience while increasing the growth of the chiropractic profession.
Sports Club
Provides students with interactive presentations from prominent speakers in the realm of sports injuries, sports medicine practices, sports nutrition, diagnostic techniques and treatment protocols. The club offers students in-depth exposure to sport specific practices as an adjunct to the CMCC curriculum. Club presenters offer their research and clinical expertise to students in an open forum and encourage active learning in a casual environment.
Thompson Technique Club
Introduces students to the theory and application of this full spine technique that emphasizes high velocity, low amplitude adjustments using a drop table mechanism. The technique decreases adjusting forces and limits the body’s wear and tear and is preferred by many geriatric, paediatric and acute patients. Students learn leg length analysis and corresponding adjustments.

Recreational Facilities
Nestled in an attractive park area at the north end of Toronto, the CMCC campus is a unique oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of big city life. Students take full advantage of our walking, jogging and biking trails, as well as our fully equipped cardiovascular exercise and weight training rooms, large multipurpose gymnasium, swimming pool and student lounge. Men’s Hockey Club
One of the most active clubs at CMCC, with over 30 members, many playing actively each week. The club is a strong presence at CMCC and throughout the GTA. We currently ice two competitive hockey teams, play in a league at York University and plat to attend tournaments in the GTA and beyond. We have a long-standing reputation are current Chiro Games hockey finalists.
Muay Thai Club
Teaches both novice and experienced students the key components of one of the world’s most effective martial arts, using cardio / fitness routines to high energy music as well as training in basic technique.
Outdoor Activity Klub (OAK)
Dedicated to planning exciting adventures for students who enjoy keeping active in the outdoors. Past events have included paint-balling, rock climbing, the Winter Cavitation trip, and white-water rafting.
Ultimate Frisbee Team
Introduced to CMCC as an intramural sport in 2003, Ultimate Frisbee it combines the speed and athleticism of field sports, maintaining its integrity as self-officiated with an emphasis on playing with spirit. “Chuck” is registered with the Toronto Ultimate Club and competes with high-level teams throughout the GTA. League play and tournaments are scheduled throughout the year and practices are held year round. Players are invited from Years I-IV, the Graduate Studies Program, and CMCC alumni.
Women’s’ Hockey Team: CMCC Carvers
This team is alive, strong and growing! We play once a week in a community league during the winter season, and in 2 to 3 tournaments a year in surrounding cities like Oshawa and Etobicoke. Our players have varying levels of experience – all are welcome!
